    Ground Water Relief Logo

Groundwater Relief - a Totnes based charity with a membership of 320 technical experts - specialises in providing groundwater to the world's poorest and most vulnerable people.

They Work mainly with refugees and displaced populations to help organisations construct and manage groundwater infrastructure.

One example of their work is Cox's Bazaar in Bangladesh where 1,000,000 Rohingya refugees are living in 34 camps. 15 hydrogeologists have been deployed in Cox since November 2017 either embedded with Medecins Sans Frontieres supporting the drilling of multiple wells in the Kutupalong Mega camp or working with the International Organisation for Migration, Dhaka University and the Bangladesh Authorities to map, monitor and model the principal aquifer systems being used by the refugees and host communities.

In this time the geology of the region has been remapped and the first groundwater model has been developed for the District.

We have donated £250 to contribute to their amazing work - and will give a share of profits secured from donations received to support them further. Please be generous so we can maximise this impact.
